Celebrating World Postcard Day
October 1st
Whether you are a slow mail aficionado, someone who wants to surprise a loved one, or someone with thoughts to share, using a real printed postcard and actually mailing it will guarantee you wonders!
If you want to know more about this day, postcards and their history, you should check the website worldpostcardday.com.
You can even download the official postcard for this year’s World Postcard Day.
I’ve been sending postcards to random people for a couple of years. I send them through an amazing project called Postcrossing. I send physical postcards to strangers and get postcards from other strangers. You can read all about it on their website at www.postcrossing.com. If you already have an account (it’s free), you can check out my Postcrossing page.
On October 1st 2020, I sent the three postcards above to celebrate this 150-year-old tradition.
Choosing a postcard and a stamp actually takes me more time than writing the postcard itself but the feeling I get is great, almost as good as when I receive a postcard.
What about you? Have you sent or received many postcards lately?
