People working from home, teachers and students included, have to face different challenges every day. Here are some free tools for distance learning and remote work that might come in handy while you are testing the waters.

Although remote work and virtual learning is not a novelty for some, most people were actually unwillingly thrown into this reality for one reason or the other, not knowing what to expect or do because almost every day in this new virtual set becomes a new learning experience for many of us.

PDFescape

a tool to help you turn old documents into fillable PDF forms

PDFescape offers a set of free online resources to create fillable PDF forms. It’s a great tool to do some recycling and turn your old documents into brand new ones without wasting time. To guide you on how to make the best of some of PDFescape free features, I have posted the tutorial below on up2dateSKILLS YouTube channel

Here’s a list of what you can create.

  • fillable text fields for business forms or gap filling exercises;
  • paragraph fields for extended answers;
  • dropdown lists, checkboxes or radio buttons for multiple choice;
  • new images;
  • links to other websites;
  • text annotations;
  • sticky notes;
  • etc.

PandaDoc

a tool to help you turn old documents into fillable forms and if necessary get them signed with a legally-binding e-Signature

If you’re looking for a free eSiganture, PandaDoc is definitely worth taking a deeper look into. It is great if you want to get a document signed, but you can actually use it even if your project doesn’t require a signature. Once completed, each document with a signature field can be downloaded with a certificate validating the signatures. PandaDoc is also a great tool to do some recycling and turn your old documents into eForms. Everything happens online, both creating the fields in the form and the completion by your recipients. PandaDoc is also a plus for collaborative work and even for contracts since you can assign different fields in the same document to different recipients.

Check some of the best free features PandaDoc has to offer in the next tutorial, which you can also find on up2dateSKILLS YouTube channel.

Here are some of the things you will be able to do using their free plan:

  • fillable text fields for business forms and gap filling exercises;
  • paragraph fields for extended answers;
  • dropdown lists and checkboxes for multiple choice exercises;
  • single or multiple eSignature fields in the same document;
  • unlimited storage for all your documents, so that you can use them over and over again;
  • etc.

Your turn
