Purchasing or downloading a product does not transfer its copyright or ownership. It grants the buyer a limited license to use the product according to the terms stated on the product page and in the applicable license.
(1) Limited permission for educational partners
Educational institutions in which Joana Silva provides training services may reproduce up2dateskills educational resources placed by her in the pedagogical folders or dossiers of the classes she teaches.
This permission is limited to non-commercial educational use with the learners enrolled in those specific classes. It does not authorize the institution, its employees or other educators to use the resources in different classes, copy them for other trainers, upload them to shared repositories or distribute them outside the relevant training activities.
Any broader use requires prior written permission or the purchase of the appropriate licenses.
(2) Resources and courses licensed for individual use
Unless the product description expressly states otherwise, digital resources and online courses purchased from up2dateskills.com or an official up2dateskills store on Teachers Pay Teachers are licensed for individual use.
An individual license may be used by:
one teacher with the students in their own classes;
one homeschool parent with their own children;
one tutor with their own students;
one individual learner for personal study; or
one registered user accessing an online course.
A teacher or tutor may print copies for their own students and, where necessary, provide those students with access through a private, password-protected learning environment. Resources must not be uploaded to a publicly accessible website, social-media platform, shared drive, public repository or other location where they can be downloaded by unauthorized users.
Downloadable files, editable source files, course content and account credentials must not be shared with colleagues, other educators, institutions or third parties. They must not be resold, sublicensed, distributed, given away or made available as part of another product or service.
A separate license is required for each additional educator or user. Schools, training providers and other organizations requiring access for several people must purchase the necessary number of licenses or contact up2dateskills to request an appropriate institutional license.

Buyers are responsible for ensuring that their completed products comply with the requirements of any marketplace, publishing platform or service through which they are distributed, including Amazon KDP where applicable.
✓ Proof of purchase must be retained

✓ Attribution is required

Payment terms
Products and services purchased through up2dateskills.com must be paid using one of the payment methods made available during checkout. For orders arranged directly with up2dateskills through an official social-media account or by email, the available payment method will be communicated to the customer before the order is confirmed.

Payments made through PayPal are subject to PayPal’s own terms, security procedures and privacy policy.
(2) IfThenPay
IfThenPay processes payment methods commonly used in Portugal, including Multibanco and MB WAY. Only the IfThenPay options displayed during checkout are available for the relevant order.
When Multibanco is selected, the customer receives the entity, reference and amount required to complete the payment through an ATM, home-banking service or compatible banking application.
When MB WAY is selected, the customer must follow the instructions displayed during checkout and confirm the payment through the MB WAY application within the period indicated.
The order will be processed only after confirmation of payment has been received. Payment references or requests that expire without payment may result in the automatic cancellation of the order.

(3) Direct Bank Transfer
Direct bank transfer may be available for certain services, recurring arrangements, customized orders or purchases agreed directly with up2dateskills.
Where this method is accepted, the customer will receive the payment instructions required to complete the transfer. The customer must use the order number, invoice number or other reference provided so that the payment can be correctly identified.
Unless a different deadline has been agreed in writing, payment must be received within five calendar days after the order is confirmed. If payment is not received within that period, up2dateskills may cancel the unpaid order automatically.
Any bank charges or currency-conversion costs associated with the transfer are the customer’s responsibility. The full amount stated in the order or invoice must be received before the product or service is supplied.
Bank-transfer orders are processed only after the funds have been credited to the indicated bank account.
Shipping and shipping costs
Digital products and online courses
Downloadable digital resources do not require physical shipping and therefore do not incur shipping costs.
Unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page, downloadable files become available after payment has been confirmed. Customers can normally access them through the order-confirmation page and the download link sent to the email address provided at checkout.
Access to online courses and other non-downloadable digital content is provided in accordance with the access instructions and conditions stated on the relevant product page.
Customers are encouraged to download and securely save their files promptly because download links may remain active for a limited period.
Physical products supplied directly by up2dateskills
Where up2dateskills accepts an order for a physical product directly through the website, by email, through a social-media page or by another agreed method, any applicable shipping costs will be communicated before the customer confirms the order.
Shipping costs may vary according to the destination, package weight and dimensions, delivery method and carrier charges. Where physical products are available through the website checkout, the applicable shipping cost will normally be calculated after the customer provides the delivery address and before payment is completed.
Unless a different processing period is stated or agreed, physical orders are normally prepared for dispatch within two working days after payment has been confirmed. This is a processing estimate and does not include the carrier’s delivery time.
Once an order has been dispatched, the customer will receive a shipping notification containing any available tracking information and an estimated delivery period. Tracking may not be available for every carrier, destination or delivery service.
Estimated delivery dates are provided for guidance and may be affected by the carrier, destination, customs procedures, public holidays, exceptional demand, adverse weather, emergencies or other circumstances outside the reasonable control of up2dateskills.
For deliveries to mainland Portugal, the estimated delivery period is normally between 3 and 10 working days after dispatch, unless a different period is stated or agreed. This estimate is not a guaranteed delivery date.
Unless a different delivery period has been expressly agreed, physical goods will be delivered without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded, as required by applicable consumer law.
If a material delay occurs, up2dateskills will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer using the contact details supplied with the order. Customers who do not receive an order within the agreed period should contact up2dateskills so that the shipment can be investigated and the applicable legal remedies can be provided.
Up2dateskills remains responsible for loss of or damage to physical goods during transport where the carrier was selected or arranged by up2dateskills, until the goods are received by the customer or by a person designated by the customer, subject to applicable law.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional expenses caused by an incorrect or incomplete address, an unjustified refusal of delivery or a failure to collect the parcel may be charged to the customer where legally permitted.
Books and products sold through third-party platforms
Books and other products displayed or mentioned on up2dateskills.com may be sold and fulfilled by third-party platforms, including Amazon.
Where a customer completes a purchase through Amazon or another external retailer, the available delivery methods, shipping costs, estimated delivery dates, tracking, cancellations, returns and refunds are determined and displayed by that retailer. The transaction is subject to the retailer’s applicable terms and policies.
Up2dateskills does not control the shipping charges, delivery services or fulfilment times applied by third-party retailers. Customers should consult the information displayed by the relevant retailer before completing their purchase.
Cancellations, withdrawal, returns and refunds
The following terms and conditions apply to purchases of physical products made on the up2dateskills.com, on its social pages and/or via email. Under the terms of the right of free resolution, users have 14 business days to return products on physical support, as soon as the order is received. Users can do so, provided the following conditions are met:
(1) upon presentation of the product purchase invoice;
(2) the product must be in the same condition in which it was sold – without damage or signs of use, packaged in its original packaging and accompanied by all components;
(3) sealed products must be kept sealed.
To do so, users must first contact up2dateskills by email (info@up2dateskills.com), which will provide all information about the return process. In the event of exercising the right of free resolution, users will fully bear the costs of returning the goods. All items will be checked upon arrival at our premises and only those which meet the above return conditions will be accepted for exchange or return.
The following contracts are excluded from the Right of Free Resolution:
(1) products customized at the users’ request;
(2) products produced in large volume at users’ request;
(3) digital content not provided on material support (courses and resources) if its execution starts with the users’ consent and if users recognize that his/her consent implies the loss of the right of free resolution (more information on digital resources on the next paragraph).
When you purchase digital content – such as up2dateskills digital resources or courses – you are agreeing that you will lose your right of withdrawal by starting the performance (e.g. after downloading). In other words, if you purchase digital content you cannot withdraw or ask for a refund after downloading a resource or starting a course.
In case of refund, up2dateskills informs that they will be made via direct bank transfer. The refund includes shipping costs paid at the time of ordering, only if the order is returned in full and in perfect condition. If users request an alternative delivery method to the one proposed on the website, the value of the shipment will not be refunded. The refund will only be made after up2dateskills has received the returned goods and after checking their condition.
Complaints and consumer dispute resolution
We aim to handle complaints fairly and resolve them as quickly as reasonably possible.

If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved directly with up2dateskills, the consumer may refer the dispute to the competent consumer alternative dispute resolution entity:
