Safety at work is one of the topics in most vocational English courses. This resource was created for students who are learning English as a second or foreign language.
This product includes:
1) 4-page printable worksheet;
2) 13-slide PowerPoint presentation with answer key.
The worksheet
The worksheet includes labeling pictures related to different types of injuries, interpreting vocabulary, interpreting a video about an incident in the workplace and gap-filling exercises to use modal verbs.
First, learners learn how to name different types of injuries so that they are able to communicate better if an accident happens to occur at work. Secondly, they watch a short video that focuses on the responsibilities of both employers and employees when it comes to ensuring safety while working with heavy machinery. After watching the video, students are asked to put the events from the video in the correct order. Finally, they also do some grammar work. They have to complete some sentences about what they can or can’t do using some modal verbs, for example.
The PowerPoint presentation
The PowerPoint presentation is a great asset. It will provide you with the visuals for all the activities and it also includes the answer key to all the exercises.
Most importantly, let me remind you that this is a digital product. As a result, you don’t need to wait for the postman. Additionally, you can save the document and print as many pages as you need.
